Will this work? Will anyone be up for it?

Old posters will remember we used to have parties that went on for weeks and weeks, and pages and pages.

Please come to my party. The only requirement is that you bring something. To start with:

I'm providing some Chateau neuf du Pape, some Sancerre, cans of Stella, and cold Guinness. I've got hypoallergenic peanuts, root vegetable crisps and mini pretzels.

Dig in!

Anybody interested?

Ah, I'm glad you brought the tea bags. Just what I needed. I hope you didn't mind me doing the crossword in your paper, though I was stuck on 15 down.

Is the music okay for everybody now? I know Jazz is not to everyone's taste, but Kind of Blue is a mellow classic.

Kind of Blue?  Well, well.

I remember In a Silent Way being on all the time in our student house in the seventies.

Yes, I can go with that.

eeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrrrr!   Wasshhh a matter!  Oh no! Not another party!  I'm schhhtill here under the table re-- re-- re-- getting better from the last one!

Hang on!  Let me think!   Ahhh!  Yes it's all comming back now.  They sent me out to buy Pringles, and there's loads of packets outside the front door in a supermarket trolly. I'll pop out and get them.

Good evening hosssifer!  No it's not my trolly.  I borrowed it from the supermarket to bring the Pringles back to the party.  Do you like Pringles hossifer?   You want me to blow into what?

Sorry I've been so long, I just popped out for a couple of months to get fresh fruit for the non-alcoholic fruit punch.  I was delayed in the Philippines waiting for the mangos to ripen.

I've also bought a new board game 'Parliamentarian'.   Players have to throw the dice and pick up a voting card.  The first objective is for players to be elected to serve in the parliament as MPs.  Players elected to the parliament much each pick up an expences card with each throw of the dice.  if the expence is a legitimate one necessary to performing their parliamentry duties, they will loose points to the value on the card and move back 3 squares,  If the expence is nothing to do with their parliamentary duties, then the will get points double the value shown on the card and move forward 3 squares.  The elected members will also make new laws, by picking up the law cards.  Any player obeying any of the new laws will go strait to jail and miss 3 throws of the dice. The winner is the first past the partially privatised post.

I'd love to dance. Anyone know the Gavott or the Military Two-Step?

Huuummm! It's getting interesting here at this party!

Welcome Lord, though we know that you are always with us in everything we do. Everything? Oh dear! BLUSH! BLUSH! I hadn't thought of THAT! Would you like to try the Pringles Lord? or we do have communion wafers if you'd prefer! Do join in, the party is just getting going here. Make yourself at home. ripping off robes is all part of the fun here.

Now, I've just found a 78 of Paul Anchor singing Diana, I'll wind up the gramaphone and we can all jive to it.

Please help yourselves to food and drink, our host won't mind at all. I believe there are more crisps and communion wine in the pantry, and there is definatly a stash of chocolate under our host's bed in the room with the mirrored ceiling.

LET'S PARTY !!!!
