including a charity in your will, you can continue to touch
the lives of people around the world for many years to come.'

It's very
important to make a will, because it is the only guaranteed way
to ensure that your wishes are carried out after your death.
If you have
friends, family or children who need taking care of, a will is the
answer. Even if you have no dependents, you might not want everything
you've worked hard for to go to the State.
Making a will
need not be expensive or complicated. There are two easy ways to
make a will and benefit the causes that you care about:
1.
Will Aid
Will
Aid is a campaign run by nine of the UK’s best known Charities: ActionAid, British Red Cross, Christian Aid, Help the Aged, NSPCC, Save the Children UK, Sight Savers International, SCIAF and Trocaire. Will Aid is a charity Will making scheme which raises funds for people in need in the UK and around the world once every two years.

If you choose
to make your will or update your existing one with Will Aid you
get a professionally drawn-up will, made by a solicitor. But you
don't pay the solicitor, instead you make a donation to charity,
through the solicitor. He
or she passes the donation to Will Aid, who shares it between the
nine Will Aid charities to help people in real need. So you not
only gain the peace of mind that comes from knowing you've provided
properly for your loved ones, but you will also help to transform the lives of children, families and whole communities in the UK and around the world.
2.
Leave a legacy
A
legacy is a tax-free gift to a charity that you can leave in your
will. You don't have to be well-off to leave a legacy. Many people
have to watch their spending carefully, and it is only when they
come to make their will that they find they can unlock their assets
to benefit others.

There is another
kind of will a the will to make things happen. Many people living
in poor countries have this sort of will - the will to improve their
lives and create a better future for their children. By remembering
them with a legacy, you can help them achieve that. Legacies change
lives for good.
