aMaizing Plant Disease Game

Edheads Virtual Knee Surgery

If you want to learn about science or find out what you’ve forgotten, then Suzanne Elvidge has ten science games to educate and entertain you.

All games are free downloads or free to play.

Some games require your browser to have a 'plug in' for Shockwave, Flash or Java.

To play a game, simply click on its name. If you are a parent, we advise you to try the game and the site it's on first before letting your kids play them, to make sure you're happy. (And, don't forget, you can also find great games for kids in our own Global Gang area)

When downloading games from the Internet, don't forget to keep your anti-virus and anti-spyware software up to date.

Science Stumpers
Play this science quiz on your own or with a friend – but I warn you, it’s hard (well, I thought it was…), so you might need to do some revision.

Build a Skeleton
This one’s a bit easier – build a skeleton and learn about bones on the Royal Institution website (did you see the 2006 Christmas Lectures?) Click ‘Where is it?’ for a clue, and drag the bones to the information window.

Who Wants to be a Science Millionaire?
Who needs Chris Tarrant? You can phone a friend, go 50:50 and ask the audience with these mixed science questions. But sorry, the cash prizes are only on the TV show.

FirstScience weekly science quiz
Ten new multiple choice science questions every week – how many can you answer correctly and how quickly can you do it?

Energy Quest
You need to register for this one. You are on a trip to Buzz Archipelago, where you have to help fix the energy problems on the island by finding items and playing games.

Silicon Spies!
Help the Silicon Spy Service stop the city being plunged into darkness by foiling Dr Volt’s evil plans. Learn about electricity and make lots of noise!

Levers
Items splash into the sea – hang them on the hooks to keep everything in balance.

Climate Challenge
You are the President of the European Nations. Choose Europe’s policies and try and persuade other nations to reduce their carbon emissions. I saved the planet but left the economy in ruins – oops!

Edheads Virtual Knee Surgery
Wee bit gross but have a go at virtual knee surgery!

Scrambler
Have you been listening? Here’s the test…unscramble some scientific words (but you might want to turn the volume down – the sound effects are a wee bit annoying!)
